after our first year of RWNE, 2024 came to a close with our most memorable gathering yet.

in the spirit of giving and receiving, we celebrated our year of moments of connection and honored our community with a seated fondue dinner for 20 and 20 of your pre-loved books wrapped and ready for re-gifting.

curated by you, it was my joy to receive all of your pre-loved books prior to our event with your handwritten notes and recommendations yet even more so, it was so special to see how everyone lit up while discovering their “new” gifted books during the book exchange. emphasising the principle of “not judging a book by it’s cover” each one of your pre-loved books was wrapped with recycled paper including your note of recommendation and complete with a velvet ribbon, so each book exchanged truly felt like such a gift. a gift to read through the eyes of someone else, to discover a new perspective.
